This privacy policy was written to ensure that all personal data collected & stored by Kristie Louise Dance Academy (KLDA) is done in a secure, safe practice in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Kristie Louise Dance Academy (KLDA) is committed to ensure that all the data collected & stored remains safe & secure.

This policy explains the procedures that are used to collect, process & store your data & why.

 

  2. What type of data do we collect?

KLDA process the following data:

  • To become a member, you are required to complete an enrolment form, regarding personal data for safeguarding & emergency purposes. 

Please see our Data Protection Policy as to how we use this information.

  • Our website requires personal data when you make an enquiry. This will require your e-mail address, mobile number (your choice), name & reason for enquiry. 

  • When you use or website, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page.

  • If you buy a product from us i.e. uniform.

  • If you sign up to any mailing lists.

  • If you search our website via Google.

  • Photograph/Videos are used within classwork & events.

  • When you use our website, any information provided on forms you complete, your Internet Protocol (IP) address and other information acquired from tracking technology, including cookies will be stored.

  • We require your child’s name & age when attending our free trial classes. If you are leaving your child in our care, you are required to leave an emergency contact number.

 

3.    How do we collect information?

  • Personal Information is collected via a paper enrolment form either handed over after your trial or e-mailed to your e-mail address. This is handed into the Principal Kristie Louise Seeley who stores this in a locked box until it is transported home & then is securely filed & processed.

  • Any enquiry e-mails will be stored on the website’s mail inbox as well as directly sent to the school’s g-mail address, which is only accessed on encrypted devices.

  • KLDA is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to advertise our school to you & enables you to send enquiry messages & access any information on our school for your interests. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. This website is SSL secure & lets you navigate our website and submit information securely via HTTPS.

 

4.    How do we communicate with you?

  • KLDA will only communicate with you if you directly message us via an enquiry using our enquiry boxes on our website, if you send an e-mail directly to our e-mail address or text/call us with an enquiry.

  • All members who then enrol will be contacted as specified by KLDA’s Data Protection Policy.

 

5.    Cookies & Other Tracking Tools

  • Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a site visitor's browser, usually used to keep track of their movements and actions on a site. 

  • We use cookies to build our Wix site. 

  • You are informed every time you access our website of our use of cookies (cookies pop-up) & can access further information before using our site.

  • You can block cookies, however this may affect what you can & cannot see on the KLDA website.

  • We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse our page. 

 

6.    Photograhy/Videography

  • As a member of KLDA, we seek parental consent before taking any images/videos.

  • There are no images/videos used if we do not have parental consent.

 

7.    How do site visitor’s withdraw their consent?

You may wish to:

-   Request a copy of the data I hold about you and find out how I use it

-   Request that I delete your data

-   Let me know about changes to your personal data (it’s important that the data I hold for you is up-to-date and accurate)

-   Ask any other questions about how I collect and process your data

  • If you are unhappy with how KLDA collect and process your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk).

KLDA requests that you directly speak with them first to see if we any issues can be directly resolved.
