ABOUT 
Gemma Nash

Gemma began dancing at the age of five. As a child she trained in ballroom, latin and disco dancing at Doric Dance Centre whilst also studying ballet and tap at the Elston School of Dancing (now Step2Step Dance Academy).

Gemma has performed on many London stages including Sadlers Wells, The Mermaid, The Bridewell and Her Majesty’s Theatre. She has also performed on the well-known music programme ‘Top of the Pops’. For many years Gemma attended Pineapple Performing Arts School studying dance, singing and drama. She then went on to study these further at ‘The Gary Lloyd Studio’ and performed twice on the main stage at London’s Olympia ‘Move It’, and also had the chance to train alongside Jeffrey Daniels from the 80’s pop group ‘Shalarmar’. In her previous performing experience Gemma performed as a showgirl in the touring show ‘Swing from the Apple’ with muffintop entertainment (2008-2011). She has performed both in the U.K and Germany.

Gemma trained at The Dance College, Penny Meekings teacher training centre where she gained her teaching qualifications in Imperial Ballet, Tap, Modern and National along with vocational exams in all genres. Gemma holds her ‘Authentic Street Dance’ qualifications with Urban Strides where she gained a level 4 diploma in performing arts with a Distinction. She has studied many forms of dance including those mentioned and many more such as line dancing, Hip Hop, house, locking, breaking, popping and whacking.
